Sickle Cell Suffolk marked this important day.

Living with Sickle Cell Disorder affects more than just the body — it can deeply impact mental health too.

Chronic pain, fatigue, health complications, frequent blood transfusions and long hospital stays can leave people feeling anxious, low or isolated. And being misunderstood; especially by medical professionals, only adds to the struggle.

At Sickle Cell Suffolk, we’re reminding our community that mental health matters

It’s okay to talk about how you feel. It’s okay to rest. It’s okay to ask for help.

Let’s continue to show compassion, understanding, and support for everyone living with sickle cell.
